anyway, first day back to work, my mind’s still hibernating, and just to boot the system up…I did a small research to find out what my name really mean, so I spontaneously ask Grandpa Google…(never thought of it before). It turns out, “Donar” was the Germanic name of the God of Thunder, or in Norse mithology is Thor. Wow, it seems my grandfather(who named me) has an unexpected knowledge of names(Thank you grandpa, may you rest in peace), specially the one granted to me

Another surprise came from an arms manufacturer, the German based Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, famous for making tanks such as the bad ass Leopard 1 and 2 (not a Mac OS system) and the artillery system PzH2000. Now they have produced a more efficient variant called the….(guess what!) DONAR 155 mm self propelled Howitzer. quoted from military-today.com:
“the Donar 155-mm self-propelled howitzer was jointly developed by Kraus-Maffei Wegmann and General Dynamics. It was revealed in 2008. This artillery system is named after Germanic pagan god of thunder” (see, what did I tell ya)
